Health Certificates

A verification of each horses' health is required prior to entering NY Racing Association (NYRA) property. (Stabling areas)

Exhibitors, please review the Health Certificate Requirements for all horses. This includes all ship-ins.

HEALTH CERTIFICATES are REQUIRED to gain entry into a NYRA Race Track. Please present the following documents at the Stabling Office/Stabling Manager BEFORE unloading. Do Not Send With Entries!

  1. A 72-hour health certificate for each horse with the horse's temperature clearly written there-on.
  2. A statement on the health certificate that the horse listed has NOT originated from a barn with an active EHV-1 or EHV-4 infection and have NOT had a fever within the last 21 days.
  3. Proof of vaccination for each horse on their health certificate against EHV-1 and EHV-4 no more than 6 months upon arrival
  4. A current negative Coggins.  (Within past 12 months)
As per the NYRA requirements, a copy of all health certificates will be retained for their review.  If you need a copy made, a copier is available in the Secretary's office for your use.
