Jason_2016.pngJason K. Gates, Tequesta, FL

I started announcing horse shows back in 1972, while living in Lockport, New York. Since then I have been able to work at every major horse show that I could only dream about when I started:

New York State Fair, Eastern States Exposition, Appaloosa World Championship, Madison Square Garden, Washington International, Pennsylvania National and, since 1990, The Winter Equestrian Festival in Florida. The Saratoga shows were added to my schedule in 1993. I was delighted to announce those shows back then and they continue to be my favorite shows now.

After 44 years of traveling around the country announcing 40 shows per year I have been able to reduce my schedule and have retained the shows that I really enjoy announcing. The Saratoga Horse Shows remain at the top of that list. After 24 years of flying to Saratoga to announce these shows it is still my favorite town to visit each year.

My wife, Joanne, and I reside in Tequesta, Florida and always look forward to our 3 week visit to Saratoga every May.

Kenn Marash, Harford Mills, NY

Kenn Marash brings over 40 years experience as a professional announcer to the Saratoga Springs Horse Show and it's predecessor, the St.Clement's Horse Show.

Kenn gives voice to many of the nation’s most prestigious horse shows: The National Horse Show, Washington International Horse Show, Pennsylvania National Horse Show, Capital Challenge, Las Vegas National Horse Show, the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, FL, Devon Horse Show, Lake Placid horse shows, Vermont Summer Festival, and the New York State Fair.

Prior to focusing on announcing, Kenn managed horse shows and clinics, started a therapeutic riding program and was the voice of Cornell Polo. He produced and hosted a Central New York radio show for 20 years and also operated a graphic design firm, Ghostwriters, inc., that continues to provide audio talent for videos, readings and advertising.  He has been profiled by CNN on a segment of their “Road Warrior” series and co-hosted an early PBS production on carriage driving that became an underground hit.

Though on the road mostly, Kenn maintains a residence on a hidden slice of paradise outside of Ithaca, NY.
